The Heatrae Sadia 95605439 On/Off Control Valve is a genuine replacement water-control component for compatible Streamline oversink water heaters. It allows the user to start and stop the flow of water through the heater and its open-outlet spout.

This valve is designed for selected 7 litre and 10 litre Streamline oversink models with either a 1kW or 3kW heating element. It is a mechanical water-control valve and should not be confused with an electrical switch, thermostat or conventional pressurised inlet valve.

Designed for Vented Streamline Water Heaters

Heatrae Sadia Streamline oversink heaters are open-outlet appliances. The heater’s outlet and spout provide the vent for the stored water, allowing expansion to discharge safely as the water heats. The correct control valve is therefore an important part of the heater’s intended operating arrangement.

The outlet must remain open to atmosphere and must never be blocked, capped or connected to a conventional pressurised tap. Using an incorrect valve or restricting the outlet could prevent the heater from operating safely.

Installation Information

Turn off the cold water supply and isolate the heater from the electricity supply before beginning work. Installation should be completed by a suitably competent person in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

After replacement, check the valve, connections and spout for correct operation and leaks. The heater’s open outlet must remain unobstructed at all times.
